Overview
Phakisa Holdings (Pty) Ltd is seeking experienced Code 14 Drivers for our operations in Isipingo. The successful candidates will be responsible for transporting goods, materials, and personnel to various construction and engineering sites while ensuring compliance with safety and traffic regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Code 14 trucks to transport goods, equipment, and workers.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Adhere to road safety and traffic laws.
- Secure and properly fasten cargo for safe transportation.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials when required.
- Report vehicle issues, malfunctions, or accidents immediately.
- Maintain accurate transport logs and records.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down construction equipment at sites.
Requirements and Skills
- Valid Code 14 Driver’s License with PDP (Professional Driver’s Permit).
- Minimum 4 years of experience driving heavy vehicles, preferably in construction or engineering.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and logistics.
- Familiarity with Isipingo and surrounding routes.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts.
- Matric/Grade 12 qualification preferred.
